• Project aim: to transform our IT infrastructure, enable seamless data-driven decision-making, and foster agility in responding to evolving customer needs.
• Role focus on establishing governance frameworks, policies, and controls to ensure data quality, security, and compliance during our transition from on-premises data platforms to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance within regulated industries, preferably financial services, and proven experience in planning and delivering governance programs at scale in a hybrid (on-premise to cloud) environment.

Task

• Strategy & Leadership
  -> Design, align and implement the RCT data governance strategy with group cloud data governance strategy, aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  -> Act as the key liaison between business, technology, risk, and compliance stakeholders.
  -> Drive adoption of governance frameworks, policies, and standards across data engineering, analytics, and business teams.
• Governance Framework & Policy Development
  -> Establish and enforce data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models.
  -> Develop policies for data classification, lineage, cataloging, retention, and access control in cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks, Collibra and related services). 
  -> Ensure governance standards align with financial sector regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, BCBS 239, SOX).
• Cloud Transition & Implementation
  -> Lead governance planning during the migration from on-premise to Azure/Databricks environments.
  -> Define processes for data ingestion, transformation, and storage with built-in governance.
  -> Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to embed governance-by-design in platform buildout.
• Risk & Compliance Management
  -> Monitor compliance with internal data policies and external regulations.
  -> Partner with Information Security teams to ensure data security, privacy, and access management.
  -> Develop controls to mitigate risks associated with cloud adoption.
• Enablement & Culture
  -> Provide training, guidance, and evangelization of governance practices across the Tribe.
  -> Promote a culture of data quality, integrity, and trust.

Requriement

• University degree in relavant field.
• 6+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or information governance roles.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure data services (Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Purview, Key Vault, etc.) and Databricks.
• Proven track record in governance planning and execution during on-premise to cloud migrations.
• Experience working with data cataloging, lineage, metadata management, and access governance.
• Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance requirements in financial services.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hungarian and/or English language proficieny.

Plus

• Financial services industry experience.
• Familiarity with Collibra tool.
• Certifications in Databricks, Azure, or DAMA CDMP.
